On July 15th, 2021, God put my and my family’s life on a new course in the performing arts world. I have a degree in Social Work from Troy University and the Lord shifted my focus back to an environment with children. After watching my children grow through dance, I saw firsthand the positives that came with it, but noticed how the performing arts could be influenced by the darker side of the dance world. God started preparing my heart with a desire to have a place for children to dance and perform in a loving Christian environment.

I watched every day how the Lord provided the big and small miracles in construction up until September 7th, 2021 when the doors opened for the very first time at Voltage Academy of Dance. I’ve been in construction for a long time now and I’ve never seen anything go as smooth and flawless. The confirmation the Lord provided daily brought peace.

Not only did the Lord provide a way for the building, but he also provided the studio with

staff members that have unique gifts and talents to train, nurture, and empower every child who has walked through the doors of the studio. I thank each staff member for the love they have poured into the children and the extra work they have invested in the studio.
